Choosing a strand is very difficult specially if you're still confuse on what you want to be in the future.

                 

           I feel fortunate to have chosen the strand that I'm very comfortable with as a grade 11 student enrolled in TVL ( Technical-Vocational-Livelihood). Last year in junior high, I had a hard time deciding on what track as well. To assist junior high school kids who are facing the same problem, I devised a list of criteria to consider before selecting their own strand. In reality, you won't know what you're interested in until you're tried out bits and pieces of each strand. In the interim, think about past subjects that are related to your strand.

 

            Despite your enthusiasm for a certain area, things don't always work out. As a result, think about your own abilities and talents, as well as you're willing to put in the time and effort necessary to conquer the challenges you'll face in your chosen strand. For example, who says you can't take STEM if you want to be an engineer but aren't good in math, Or, if you want to be a lawyer but aren't good in speech or writing, who says you can't take HUMSS? In any case, go with strand that best matches your innate ability.

 

            So why should we go with TVL strand? TVL student learn a variety of skills that will prepare them for the future chance. TVL students gained skills and information that would help them in the future. More information and abilities equal more opportunities. Not all TVL students will attend college, although some will continue their education at college.

 

            Why is TVL such an excellent strand for you? Because this strand has a lot of potential for the future. Even if you do not attend college. the Technical Vocational Livelihood route will provide you with job-ready skills in the future. The abilities they gained as TVL students are advantageous to them. especially if the job path they choose in college is connected to the TVL track. There are plenty of opportunities in the technical vocation and livelihood industries. Graduates of the TVL strand should expect possibilities to present themselves as soon as they step out of the classroom after completing their degree. TVL students are likely to be cherished workers and company owners, endowed with an edge that sets them apart from the competition, with abilities that are highly sought after in their respective fields. The TVL strand courses all equip students to be great thinkers in challenging areas such as Food Production, Restaurant Ownership, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Machinery, and Construction.
